In this guide, we'll walk you through the simple steps to brew the perfect cup using our Drip Coffee Bags. Let’s get brewing!

List of things you need:

1.    Millennia Coffee Co.’s Drip Coffee Bag
2.    A Pouring Kettle. (Having a Gooseneck kettle or Drip Pot is a Plus)
3.    Hot water (160ml – 200ml) 93˚ to 95˚ C.

Step 1:

1. At the top of the pouch, identify the tear line.
2. Ensure coffee grounds have settled at bottom of pouch before tearing top of filter bag pouch.

Step 2:

    1. Shake lightly to level and settle coffee grounds.
    2. Gently pull the filter bag hangers outwards and place hangers onto the cup.

    Step 3:

        1. Boil water and allow it to cool to 93-95°C.

          • Tip: Leaving freshly boiled water to cool naturally for 45 secs to 1 min will enable it to reach the temperature.

        2. Slowly pour 160ml - 200ml of the water in 2 to 3 sessions. (Take care not to overfill the bag during each pour).

          • At the start, gently pour a small amount of freshly boiled water over the coffee grounds, enough to cover and moisten them. Allow it to rest for about 30 seconds.
          • During this time, you'll notice the coffee grounds begin to expand. This process is called "blooming." Blooming allows the coffee to release trapped gases, primarily carbon dioxide, which is a crucial step in enhancing the flavors and ensuring an even extraction during brewing.
          • Proceed with the sessions normally until desired volume is reached.

Note: We recommend avoiding over-extraction, as it can cause the loss of delicate tasting notes.

        Step 4:

            1. Once desired volume is reached and water has been completely filtered through the coffee bag.
            2. Proceed to safely remove the filter bag using the hangers or the tip of the bag once it is not hot.

            Note:

Always allow the hot water to be completely filtered through, and only handle the bag once it has cooled down. You can also use the hangers as leverage to lift and dispose of the drip coffee bag.

Enjoy your freshly brewed cup of Millennia Coffee Co.'s Drip Bag Coffee!

The entire brewing process takes under 3 minutes, and the results are always rewarding. With a little experimentation, you can fine-tune the brewing time to suit your personal taste. In the end, you have full control over crafting your perfect cup of coffee.
